PFF: Seahawks can only hope to contain Knighton

On multiple occasions the Patriots tried to have their center perform a reach block on Knighton with no help on an outside zone or stretch play…The Seahawks run a very zone heavy scheme and we’ll see a very similar stretch play more than a few times super bowl Sunday. Center Max Unger struggled a couple times to make the very same block against Glenn Dorsey with him lined up at the 0-technique (defensive tackle head-up on center).

Most of the talk is about Denver's offense against Seattle's defense. But what about Seattle's 26th-ranked offensive line versus Pot Roast, Malik Jackson, Robert Ayers, Sly Williams, and Shaun Phillips?

Let's see six of 16 games against supposedly tough defenses. Ok I'll give you part of that. What about the defenses in the other ten games.

Thought I read somewhere yesterday that your OL was like the 24th or so rated unit.

I'm not so sure that your O can stay up with Manning and company.

You aren't looking at all of the Hawk's O stats, fool! You do realize the break it all down into passing yards and rushing yards? I believe we were 4th or 5th in rushing. As a matter of fact, I think they ranked above the Broncos on that. And you obviously don't know much about the NFL in general if you're ignorant enough to be wondering about the other NFC West team's D this year! Oh, that's right, Broncos didn't have to play any of the NFC West teams this year, who were some of the top ranking D's in the NFL. The Cards didn't even make it into the wild card slot w/ a 10-6 record! This was, w/out a doubt, the toughest conference in the NFL this year. The Rams came in at #4 in the NFC West, I think they went 8-8 but were missing their starting QB for at least half of the year. Their d is also tough.....tougher than anything the Broncos saw all year.

Could be an interesting match up.

I have to wonder if their OL is ranked so low just why are they winning games NLY on D.

I have seen the stats about their RBs which then also makes me wonder is their conference just that weak to stop him/them from gaining yards.

That´s a very informative article. Promising, too. Knighton will wreck a few plays on Sunday, no doubt. And since he seems to love big moments, there´s a good chance some of those will happen at crucial times.
