With the Broncos off this weekend, Broncos’ front-office bosses John Elway and Brian Xanders are in Waco, Texas scouting the Baylor-Oklahoma game.

I would rather see the Broncos address the team needs in the 1st round and draft a CB(Dre Kirkpatrick of Alabama) and hopefully RG3 falls to the second round. He would be an excellent backup in the Tebow offense.

How about Denard Robinson of Michigan if RG3 isnt there in the 2nd? He comes out this year doesnt he?

Why not Russel Wilson out of Wisconsin? He&#8217s plenty mobile, leads the NCAA in passing efficiency, and - because of his height and interest in baseball - will likely fall into the later rounds.

I feel as though if guys like Luck/Barkley/RG3 are not going to be for the taking unless Denver is willing to trade up into the Top 5, then they shouldn&#8217t do it. It isn&#8217t as if they&#8217re loaded with talent all over the field. Why not take advantage of the draft&#8217s depth at corner and grab Denard or Jenkins to eventually replace Goodman?

Garrard is not that mobile, and has back problems or something like that, and by all accounts was cut not only because of performance but attitude as well. No thanks. If we&#8217re discussing backup options from FA, why not Dennis Dixon and hang onto Weber as the no. 3?

Hey TJ, agreed.

RG3 will win Heiseman and challenge Luck for #1 pick. If Tebow keeps winning, and Newton keeps playing well, then lots of teams may start going this ay with their QBs.

landry Jones wont be picked above RG3, and he aint that good anyway.

The best thing Denver can do is go BPA, bring in vet like Garrard that could do option stuff and then pick a guy like the QB from oregon who should fall into the 4th or 5th round.

Think about who are the teams that need a QB:

Top 3 (my guess where they end up):

Indy - Luck

Miami - Barkley

Wash - Landry Jones

Each of those will likely pick in top 6.

Other teams likely needing a QB as a top priority:

Cleveland - yet seem likely to go with a stud WR like Blackmon or Richardson

KC - they could go with OL or Richardson then look for Weeden in 2nd rd

Seattle - likely RG3 suitor IMO tho they could like the 2nd best WR too - Jeffreys

Remaining top 1st rd quality QBs: Tannehill, RG3

Does RG3 fit KC style? I don&#8217t think so. So then Seattle becomes our nemesis for RG3. Their remaining schedule is actually very easy and I can see them winning 6-8 games. Resulting in their being only 4-8 draft spots ahead of us IF we win 7-9 games. Therefore we could make feasible trade offers to move up ahead of Seattle and grab RG3 (1st and a 3rd).

Even tho I would like this trade effort IF Tebow doesn&#8217t show any improvement, I am not sure we would do it. I see us going with a QB in rds 2-4 IF RG3 is off the board in rd 1.

TJ, I&#8217m in the same boat. Apparently he was a former track star so he&#8217s got world class speed - should be better than 4.5 - I&#8217ve seen 4.37 to 4.52 all over.

First time I saw RG3 play was tonight, so I didn&#8217t want to comment on him until now. Holy smokes that dude can wing it. That last touchdown pass was a laser, accurate and across the field. I can&#8217t remember a time recently that I saw a college player do that. Not sure about his quickness, but he looked like a 4.50 guy to me.

It&#8217s a one-game sample, but I would like to see him play again. How could this guy not go in the top 10 picks?

Can we draft RGIII, keep him as an insurance policy for Tebow and if he can&#8217t beat Tebow out for QB, use him as a rb and have run/ pass options for the qb and the rb on every play

And, yeah, RG3 probably isn&#8217t going very low in the draft.

I&#8217m sure they&#8217re doing their homework on RG3 - very exciting player with a similar skillset to your boy, Tim Tebow. (Landry Jones is probably out of reach for where Denver will be drafting.)
