Craig Morton sues NFL over head injuries

Former Quarterback Sues Over Hits to Head

Morton’s 84-page filing was born out of frustration with the proposed settlement and is a sign that some players may continue pursuing cases.

Lawyers for Morton, who was with the Giants from 1974 to 1976 and played in the 1978 Super Bowl with Denver, accused the N.F.L. of agreeing to a settlement just before the season began as a way to deflect negative attention from the league.

Morton was not among the original plaintiffs, but fellow Broncos ROFers Floyd Little, Randy Gradishar, Karl Mecklenburg, Dennis Smith, Rich Jackson, and Goose Gonsoulin were.
