According to Adam Schefter, Wes Welker has been suspended four games for amphetamine use.
It's always something, huh?
Well, at least this will buy Welker time to recover more fully from his latest concussion...
According to Albert Breer, Welker's appeal with the league was heard two weeks ago, and the decision to uphold the suspension came down today.
Per PFT, Welker reportedly took MDMA cut with amphetamines while at the Kentucky Derby.
Welker will miss games against Indy in Week 1, versus Kansas City in Week 2, at Seattle in Week 3, and at home against Arizona in Week 5, following Denver's bye.
In his absence, Emmanuel Sanders would figure to move down into the slot, with Andre Caldwell and perhaps Cody Latimer seeing more time outside.
