Yeah, singlehandedly. He pretty much carried the Jets D on his shoulders as I recall. Between hot dogs, of course. :)

Awesome for Von, his cousin and family. Let's make it happen. I generally hate "guarantees" from athletes since they aren't really guarantees. In every realm but athletics a there are consequences when you don't come through on a guarantee. Like we all get our money back. I guess in this context he just crushes the spirit of a little boy who came out of a coma if he doesn't come through.

I have a best friend who was in a coma for a few days. I'll never forget how I felt when he pulled through. Good for Von. It never seemed like he needed external motivation, but I can't imagine how he plays with it. Love this guy.

Gotta love the attitude !! At least as long as he (and the team) put in the hard work necessary to make the prediction come true.
It seems better than having him say "It will be a long slog, but if we get lucky we might make it back to the playoffs. We're just hoping for the best."
