Neither of these guys makes any sense. Just like fans, these guys are looking at the top free agents and dreaming without paying any attention to cap room or fit.

On a side note, the video preview showed a player on the screen in background who was neither Ed Reed or Steven Jackson. I'm hoping Vic wasn't speculating Denver is thinking about trading for a QB...

I don't understand why we would bother with any of them. The 2 former Giants are banged up. Jackson would need to take a huge pay cut.

If they could pass team physicals both of those players make far more sense for the Broncos than do Reed or Jackson.

We could see what the true lure of playing with Manning is if somehow players of this ilk are willing to take pay cuts and one yr deals. Remember that at their age, some players may want to play ONLY for the chance to win a SB. Denver is the leading favorite along with SF to win it next yr. Hmmm

The Broncos do not overspend on over-the-hill free agents, Vic. That's how you get into cap trouble. Reed is old, he's been injured and he would be expensive. The Broncos have a cheap, young and improving FS on the roster in Rahim Moore.

As for Jackson, he's less than 2 years younger than McGahee and has much higher mileage. McGahee has 2159 touches in his career, while Jackson has 2802. Also, Jackson will command a salary of more than 3 times McGahee's current pay.

In short, nope.
