Arizona & Miami reportedly interested in Orton

10:15pm ET - Klis says the Broncos are making a push to re-sign Marcus Thomas.

12:33am ET - Redskins just signed Barry Cofield to a six-year contract.  Scratch him off the Broncos' list for better or for worse.  This signing will also affect Mebane's deal and the market for DTs.  Deal is reported as $36 million with $12.5 million guaranteed.

12:32am ET - According to Tim Ring of 3TV News in Phoenix, the Eagles are trying to "squeeze" a 1st-round draft pick and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie out of the Cardinals in exchange for Kevin Kolb.   We'll see how this plays out for Orton soon.

8:52pm ET - It appears the reports of the Skins and Vikings having an agreement on sending Donovan McNabb to Minnesota were a bit overblown.

8:02pm ET - Williamson writes that the Broncos are indeed interested in Brandon Mebane, although the Seahawks are trying to re-sign him. Plus, John Clayton says the Broncos could hang onto Orton until a team loses a QB to injury. Riiiight.

7:54pm ET - The Panthers re-signed DE Charles Johnson tonight to a six-year deal with $32 million in guarantees, and this story relates to Denver beyond the John Fox connection: the Broncos were apparently in on the bidding. Guess they're not messing around...

6:15pm ET - Sounds like the Vikings are out of the Orton picture, as they have reportedly agreed to a deal to acquire Donovan McNabb from Washington, if the QB agrees to restructure his contract. (What else would he do, and where would he go?)

3:45pm ET - To correct what I had tweeted last night and written this morning, the Broncos' coming release of Correll Buckhalter will save the team $1.47M against the 2011 salary cap and $2.47M against the 2012 cap, with a cap hit of $900K due to the accelerated amortization of the last two years of his $1.8M signing bonus. Sorry about that one, folks.

3:32pm ET - Chris Mortensen is of the belief that the only teams interested in sinking a boatload of cash in a twenty-eight-year-old RB DeAngelo Williams "Sweepstakes" is down to Carolina and Denver

3:14pm ET - According to NFP's Aaron Wilson, Willis McGahee is interested in possibly joining the Broncos

3:10pm ET - Jason La Canfora says the Vikings, Cardinals and Dolphins are among the teams reportedly interested in trading for Kyle Orton, and that the Broncos have set the floor for compensation as a third-rounder in 2012. Orton has reportedly not shown up at Dove Valley today, ostensibly due to the trade speculation.

3:05pm ET - According to John Clayton, the Broncos have been allotted $8,118,404 in rookie pool money, presumably the total amount the team's nine draftees can be paid for the 2011 season

2:03pm ET - The Broncos have reportedly agreed to terms with Fresno State WR Jamel Hamler. Meanwhile, Arnie Stapleton says Kyle Orton has not shown up at Dove Valley amid speculation he'll be dealt, and the Cowboys have released RB Marion Barber, whom the Broncos passed on in 2005 along with Brandon Jacobs in favor of epic disaster Maurice Clarett.

11:11am ET - Miami have agreed to terms with undrafted Delaware QB Pat Devlin. Could this impact their reported interest in Kyle Orton?

10:51am ET - Minnesota QB Adam Weber has agreed to join the Broncos

10:41am ET - Turns out Central Michigan LB Nick Bellore is not heading to the Broncos, but rather to the Jets.

10am ET - @ShanePHallam is hearing the Broncos are the favorites to sign Gophers QB Adam Weber

9:45am ET - According to the Sun-Sentinel, the first option for the Dolphins as far as potential veteran QB acquisitions is Kyle Orton. Dave Hyde writes that the Dolphins' first call once the trade doors open will be to Brian Xanders & Company, even if Hyde thinks Orton is nothing more than an overpaid, average quarterback. How interesting would an Orton/BMarsh reunion be?

We'll keep you posted here all day long on Broncos transactions and rosterbation...
