Thursday a fine time to rest PMFM Lard

Good Evening, Broncos fans! Unfortunately, the team's offensive line is coming to resemble a MASH unit more each day.

Right tackle Orlando Franklin suffered a hip injury on the first play of team drills on Monday, although he did limp off the field on his own power. X-rays were thankfully negative, but Franklin was also expected to undergo an MRI to explore for damage.

Once Franklin left, Louis Vasquez slid over to replace him, with Ryan Lilja taking over at right guard.

Among linemen, Ryan Clady and Chris Kuper are still working back from offseason surgery, J.D. Walton underwent surgery in June, and Dan Koppen was lost for the season.

With Chris Clark and Vasquez or Vinston Painter as the starting tackles, and Aldon Smith and the Niners on tap, we're thinking it would be a good time for Peyton Manning to remain on the sidelines on Thursday...

Better news came with the return of Sly Williams, Derek Wolfe, and Quanterus Smith, plus the limited return of Jacob Tamme and Quinton Carter. Greg Orton and Jeremiah Johnson were out with injuries, while Nate Irving was excused for personal reasons.

Joel Dreessen underwent his knee scope Monday afternoon.
