Report: Broncos interested in Mike Mitchell

According to Panthers beat man Joe Person, the Broncos, Panthers, Bears, Eagles, and Falcons are among the teams to have expressed interest in signing Carolina safety Mike Mitchell.

Mitchell spent his first four seasons with the Raiders, who drafted him in the second round of the 2009 Draft.

He signed a one-year, $1M deal with Carolina before turning in a four-pick, four-sack campaign that was good for a +0.8 grade over 983 snaps according to PFF.

It was his first (barely) positive grade since his rookie season, when he was an insane +9.3 in just 217 snaps.

The Ohio alum started 13 games for Carolina, after having started just nine games over four seasons in Oakland.

Safety is a huge question mark for Denver, what with Rahim Moore attempting to come back from lateral compartment syndrome, Duke Ihenacho having struggled for much of the year, and Mike Adams a free agent.
