In typical Raiders fashion, the team has not announced its agreement with Jack Del Rio, who will be Oakland's next head coach.
Today's speculation as to Del Rio's possible assistants has steered clear of Dove Valley, which is perhaps a nod to the possibility that Adam Gase gets promoted. Mike Klis mentioned earlier in the week that Denver secondary coach Cory Undlin might be a DC candidate under Del Rio.
Other possible defensive coordinators reportedly include Mike Smith and Eric Mangini, while Marc Trestman and Aaron Kromer are possible offensive coordinators.
According to Jerry McDonald, JDR's first choices would be Smith (who was his DC in Jacksonville for several years) and Trestman, who were both fired from head jobs earlier in the month.
Jeff Legwold expects Oakland to now pursue Terrance Knighton, as Brandon Krisztal suggested earlier in the day. FWIW, Knighton says he's not "gotten the feeling" that John Elway & Co. want him to stick around.
