Patriots erase pair of two-touchdown deficits, will host AFC title game

At several junctures, it looked as if the Ravens would knock off the Patriots in the playoffs at Foxboro for a third time. Instead, New England wiped out deficits of 14-0, 28-14, and 31-28 in an impressive 35-31 divisional round victory.

The winner of tomorrow's Broncos/Colts matchup will take on the Patriots for the AFC Championship next Sunday evening at 6:30pm.

New England scored on four touchdowns by Tom Brady (three passing, one rushing), plus a 51-yard scoring pass from Julian Edelman - who took a lateral from Brady - to Danny Amendola.

Joe Flacco matched Brady with a quartet of touchdown passes, but also threw a pair of interceptions, including one in the end zone inside the two-minute warning.

During the regular season, the Patriots defeated Denver and Indy in consecutive games by nearly identical scores of 43-21 and 42-20.
