Just got back from the game. Gotta say that defense looked absolutely amazing. They&#8217ve performed the entire time in every game they&#8217ve been on the field. But, tonight was over-the-top. They made that first squad Seahawks just look down-right inadequate.

Our secondary coverage was strong when needed, which wasn&#8217t very often. Thanks to the speed of Miller and Dumervil, the safeties and backs weren&#8217t needed for many blitzes. Most of the time, the Broncos defense spent its time on the Seahawks side of the line of scrimmage.

Vickerson was solid. Mays really stepped it up. Anyone know what DJ Williams&#8217 status is?

Von Miller is what a first round pick should look like. That guy, provided he stays healthy, is going to leave his mark on this town&#8230.and he&#8217s already starting to.

The run game is ok, but it isn&#8217t explosive. Seemed like once the O-line got dialed in, Orton had all the time in the world to decide who to throw to. First couple series were shaky, but they came around. I think part of it might&#8217ve been that the Seahawks defense kept finding themselves back on the field very quickly.

Orton looked solid. No doubt he should be the starting QB. I wouldn&#8217t be surprised to find the staff would think of re-signing him next year.

Not sure why the receivers were dropping so many balls at the beginning of the game. I believe I saw 3 or 4 great passes dropped. Weird.

2nd team defense looked pretty bad. I know the first series they were on the field, I believe the 1st squad Seahawks remained on the field. I was glad to see Fox pulled the first squad D. That part of the team is going to be our bread and butter this season.

Oh, anyone know if there was a picture taken on the last Seahawks offensive play of the first half? The one where Miller and Dumervil converged paths and met at Johnson? That&#8217d make a great computer wallpaper.

Well, the Broncos won and Tebow led a nice 2 min drill, so it is all moot at this point.

You also have to keep in mind that Tebow has fewer passing attempts than Quinn, because Tebow has often held the ball too long taking sacks or Tebow has taken off running instead of passing.

Really only a few story lines coming out of this one.

- Von/Doom bringing the heat. The first-team D was swarming.

- Trouble run-blocking (Beadles was beaten regularly and Franklin was a beat slow off the ball)

- Injuries to DJ and Bunkley. Heaven help us if we lose another DT. Here&#8217s hoping both of them will be ready for opening night.

If I were Tebow I&#8217d ask my agent to look into the CFL. People care about football up there, and they&#8217d love to have him. Down the road he could come back and punk the NFL.

I think Quinn still has ~20+ pass attempts over Tebow in the preseason, so I am not sure the comparison is there yet

Things could have been different. Dude has been given nothing but scrub time, and it&#8217s not easy to look impress under those conditions.

If TT does not play lights out against Arizona on Thursday, there is no way he can be more than third string. It wouldn&#8217t be fair to Brady Quinn if we are to believe that &#8220all&#8221 are competing.

When he does have time, TT is still locking on to his first read. Had Rosario wide open on that incompletion to Davis. Made nice throws to Willis, but again, they were his first reads. No surprise that be wants to get rid of the ball. The 2nd/3rd team o-lines have been as bad tonight as they were against the Cowboys.

Nate Jones is just atrocious. Here&#8217s hoping we find a decent fourth corner on the waiver wire.

That last drive was TT in a nutshell. Broken plays, delay of game, yet just enough playmaking to get a field goal.

And now he gets another chance ... After a kickoff return for a TD. Terrible coverage there. Twice I&#8217ve seen Darcel McBath completely owned on special teams.

RoyalWC I would hope that we can chat about the game.

I was not thrilled with our friend Tim Tebow on that drive. He needs to relax but I am sure emotionally he would like to prove the world wrong each time he steps on the field.

I think Nate Jones has to go.

Anyone care to comment on the actual game? Chris Clark was beaten so badly on TT&#8217s first pass, I&#8217m embarrassed for him. Nice throw from TT on that one. Also liked the way he hung in the locket on that incompletion even with pressure in his face. Delivered a nice ball. Of course, he scrambled way too quickly on the third down and fumbled.

I said I hated Orton and I will only be an Orton fan again if he wins the Super Bowl this year. If you read the post (which you can re-read on my site) you can try to understand why.

I have no problem saying if somebody does things good, and at the end of the day I want the Broncos to win, and if I am wrong then I will admit it and move on with life.

Gotta give Orton (and the pass protection) props on that drive. Not much of a push on running plays, but Orton had time and made the Seahawks pay. I&#8217ve got a feeling Decker is going to be a big-time player in the red zone. Try to zone the Broncos inside the 10 and Orton is just going to wait for Decker to settle and rifle it.

Orton TD pass. That will keep in on the field more than anything else.

I&#8217m disappointed. I was hoping this wouldn&#8217t be an Orton bashfest, as I have seen elsewhere. I mean, nothing was said about the dropped pass by Fells on 3rd down, the stuff of McGahee, or the bad placement of the ball when Orton went HEAD FIRST for the first down.

I have given Orton credit when he did/does nice things, but this year I will be curtailing all credit/praise during the preseason. Prove it to me in the regular season, and then I will change my tune. Orton looked fantastic last preseason and he lead the team to a 3-10(sure there is more to it, but I don&#8217t want to debate the rest of that)

LOL, Doc. Maybe its my kool aid drinking defense mechanism, but I don&#8217t think that talent has been the biggest issue in Denver. They&#8217ve just had hard luck going on a few years now. Injuries. Bad officiating. Never getting the bounces, etc, etc, etc.
