Enjoy the game everyone, and Go Broncos!
Still not sold on the O Line.
Still not sold on Orton & Quinn.
Pissed off that this is still a QB “competition” and not a true competition. Tebow should be pissed tonight.
During regular season if I were teams, I’d blitz right up the middle at Walton and Beadles. A 97 year old man has more escapability than Kyle Orton. For the defense, I’d pound the ball and attack Denver’s defense right up the middle.
That’s how you beat Denver. Tonight was an aberration, the Bills are a horrid team. Gonna be a long year for Broncos fans; not as bad as what Bills fans will have to endure, but a 5-6 win year.
Would love all of your thoughts on my initial thoughts.

Fun stuff guys. Even though I am annoyed at some things I am still glad that there is Broncos football, and I am really excited about the defense.
All in all, this team seems in a much better place. EFX look to have put together a competitive team that will not embarrass us (famous last words). Love the young players and the rhythm this team seems to be getting. Still more work to be done but…Bring on the RAIDERS!!!
So, in the preseason so far, Brady Quinn has gotten the most play time….that’s good….
@RSHIt is preseason man. It is practice that these guys need.
@O&B
It is just frustrating, very very very frustrating. Listening to Al Wilson give a tongue love fest to Brady Quinn(who I don’t think did anything special) is grating.
And instead of letting him try to run the 2 minute drill you give it over to Webber who just hands the ball off 3 times? Just wasting time….
@ SpaceCowboys, come on, man. Andrew Mason said it best on Twitter: “Rock and a hard place. You’d like to throw w/ Tebow, but if you call passes with a 14-pt lead late in preseason game, you look like an ass.”
Space, I know you want to see SOME AMOUNT of proper use of Tebow but I really think something is going to shake loose in the near future.
Bullshit
RUN THE 2 MINUTE DRILL!
@O&BYeah…Cox out there just…ugh. Guy seems like a sleaze, don’t care what uniform he wears.
Thank you McCoy for not even trying to get a 1st down. It is great to see Tebow’s skillz by hand offs in the shadow of your own end zone.
Really have mixed feelings about Perrish out there.
Someone else said Indy, but I think that is a good call. I still think Miami, Seattle, SF, and a team that will lose their starter soon are all possible trade partners.
Where you think he is going? Indy (I think you said that) makes good sense, SF also makes sense to me. Bills also could use him….
Bruton playing with 3rd team not a good sign for him, does it?
BTW, Quinn playing well is fantastic for the trade that will happen (whoever is involved) in the next 2 weeks.
I can just hear it now, unless Tebow scores like 7 touchdowns he is going to get blasted for his performance tonight. Me might get another drive in before the end of the night, but who needs context?
D lineman = not good at math
Orton is in control of this offense. As long as the OL gives him time, he’ll do just fine.
Really like how the team has played (all 3 QBs incl), but this is Buffalo. We should not have seen anything else. So at least we aren’t surprised to the bad.
Shut up Al, inaccurate at 6/7? Yeah…math is hard.
A scrub passes for a touchdown against a scrub. Tebow time. Glad to see he got a good amount of time in the game…..............................................................................
At this rate Tebow will be lucky to play one series.
At this pointâŚthe Dolphins should be calling to ask for Tebow, cause he is better than all of theirâs combined.
At this point…the Bills should be calling to ask for Brady Quinn, cause he is better than all of their’s combined. Fitz has a better beard tho.
@RSHDepends, are we talking about Madden <img alt="tongue laugh" height="19" src="http://www.singernet.com/images/smileys/tongue_laugh.gif" style="border:0;" width="19">
Look I just play a QB on TV
man, that looked easy.
There we go re: JJ
@ SpaceCowboy: Let me guess, you could have made that touchdown throw Brady Quinn just made?
Or right now….
@sluggoProbably in the 4th
Are we not going to see JJ tonight? :(
sluggo Aug 20, 2011 10:42 PMQuinn is Brady 2.0!
Did you mean Marcia Brady?
THWG Mike Mohammed!
Why is the heck is Mario Haggan out there now?
MaxBroncos MaxBroncos Brady Quinn’s QB rating: 51.1. 8-of-13 for 93 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT. Having some trouble throwing into traffic.
Quinn is Brady 2.0!
Yeah…..he looks sooooooo goooooooooood, give me more of that!
“Brady QUinn leads the offense…” that makes me laugh.
If you aren’t a fan of SAFaMH get this:http://www.nomas-nyc.com/t-shi...
(full disclosure, I own one but do not have stock or any other monetary interest in this company)
Thoughts go out to Johnny White, never want to see that
Ripple…interesting you mention Brady to Indy. Earlier today I tweeted Lindsay Jones to ask if this could be an audition for said trade. Never heard back from her…Makes a lot of sense. Indy’s backups are terrible.
yes congrats…..did she give you any insight during her restful first half? <img alt="wink" height="19" src="http://www.singernet.com/images/smileys/wink.gif" style="border:0;" width="19">
Congrats BroadRipplebronco!
hi Ripple.Congratulations on your daughter
What up fellas. This was my 1 day old daughters first Bronco game. She slept through it all, first half anyway. My 2 cents* When did D.J. move back to the middle? I like it. * I D.j. takes plays off or something, Seems like he lets lineman engage him. Instead of sticking them.* Moore is the real deal, BallHAWK…...* Woodyard deserves to be a starter, sees the play and goes he doesnt have to stop and think..* Mays plays out of control. I like him but.*Bunkley very very athetlic..* Miller is fuckin fast. Watchout this dude has IT.Very solid outing for the D. ( Playing Buffalo)* Moreno found some attitude. * Big Will + Moreno very solid combo* Please trade Quinn to Indy. He stinks. VERY LOW CEILING. Think about it…. Orton is leaps and bounds ahead of him. Quinn just hasnt had a chance yet, whatever Notre Dame players generally are very average. * Franklin looks better than last week. * I cant believe Im Gonna say it but Orton should be the man. You can tell the team has bought into him. Made some good reads out there.* Doom is a bad ass looks natural at 260.Team as a whole look better thatn last week. Thats good coaching. Allen doing a hell of a job with the D. Gives alot of different looks out there. Thanks for your time Just say no to anyone named Brady..
Maybe Legwold will write tomorrow none of Orton’s backups can take snaps from under center
Christ….over the middle pass over, and over, and over again.
But that’s right, Tebow can’t throw the ball as well as Quinn can.
Jeeeeeeesus help up all!
<img alt="tongue laugh" height="19" src="http://www.singernet.com/images/smileys/tongue_laugh.gif" style="border:0;" width="19">
Yeah, Quinn REALLY worked through progressions by starring down that receiver…
SpaceCowboy is killing it tonight with teh LOLLERs tonight…
Still not sold on our Dline
@TropexThats ok because he isn’t Tebow.
How many snaps did Quinn take from under center on this drive? Quite a few shotguns there.
RELEASE THE TEBOW!!!
If that is the new and improved Quinn, who cares, he is just his good Browns self. You have to throw outside the numbers, outside, inside, up, down, blah blah blah
Whatever, he is only going to be the backup to Kyle “Glass” Orton
Oui.
Wait….that was French? wow
SC FTW
Hey Quinn! IF YOU ONLY THROW OVER THE MIDDLE EVEN I CAN PICK YOU OFF
Crap.
Pardon my french.
Yeah I know Space Cowboy…...I was arguing here with the NFL <img alt="wink" height="19" src="http://www.singernet.com/images/smileys/wink.gif" style="border:0;" width="19">
Classic Quinn….only throwing over the middle
Great job by the OL on that pass to Royal.
Too bad we can’t play the bills every week…
Gamecast said the 20 yard run was to the right. Isn’t Doom on the offenses left?
@DennisI was just saying WHY it was called, not that I agree with it
Sleepy I think our 4th guy could start for them <img alt="wink" height="19" src="http://www.singernet.com/images/smileys/wink.gif" style="border:0;" width="19">
1st team O-Line, 2nd team skill positions
I guess SC but he was in the process of making a nice catch…what was Moore supposed to do>? It’s not touch…....If it was Dennis Smith or God Forbid Steve Atwater….....
I think all 3 of Denver’s QBs are better than Buffalo’s starter.
@ sleepyteak, you are being facetious I hope. Dumervil failed to set the edge on a huge 20-yard run by Fred Jackson.
Quinn gets to run with first team. Interesting.
Quinn has improved over last week….he didn’t fall down on his first hand off…so there is that…
Announcers need to get off the “Moore sitting alone” meme. C’mon…
DJ just made a freaking INT, how bout that?
That hit is on Fitzpatrick. Definition of “dead duck” of a pass.
It sounds like Doom is playing run well.
He was defenseless, didn’t lead with helmet
That is what I saw Sluggo
He led with his shoulder didn’t he? The ref right in front of the play didn’t even throw a flag.
In any case, so much for him not being able to hit.
I am sorry but I think he tried to hit him with his shoulder and the helmet followed or am I crazy?
So you can’t hit anymore? Was he supposed to lead with his butt?
Nice to see Jones is okay.
Denver has given up 35 yards of penalties this drive
I am just so glad to have football AND hope. Even though McD was a good OC, he was divisive and inexperienced. He had some terrible personnel moves that were left for him (Cutler, BMarsh were not his fault). His choice of coaches under him was poor. Tebow will be his legacy here, for better or worse. Maybe one day he’ll be a good HC when he gets more experience and becomes less of a Darth Belichick clone.
But McCoy seems to have absorbed a lot of what of what McD taught. And Fox’s experience along with Dennis Allen, I have hope again.
what? OMG
argh
COME ON BUNKLEY! Catch that int!
There you go with the RBs in the passing game again. Give Orton a clean pocket and he can do some things. There’s never been any question about that.
@ SpaceCowboy. I can recall two successful reverses and/or end-arounds by the Broncos. In the 2008 season versus Buffalo at Invesco, Royal took one 71 yards and in 2006 Javon Walker took one 72 yards for a touchdown at Pittsburgh.
@jubei
Ha, guess that answers that question!
Oh look, a touchback. Weird.
Will new rules make for less onside kicks?
Orton and McGahee - two trips, two tds, one run and one pass. Gotta love it.
@sleepyteakMcGahee is going to make a huge difference. He just seems stronger than KnoMo
I seem to remember Rod Smith running some nice reverses back in the day. That shows you how long it’s been…
McGahee is going to make a big difference this year huh.
Well, look at that, Kyle scored a RZ touchdown. *clap clap clap*
McGhaee is a keeper <img alt="smile" height="19" src="http://www.singernet.com/images/smileys/smile.gif" style="border:0;" width="19">
There’s a familiar sight: Moreno limping off the field :(
Has Denver EVER done a successful reverse?
