Inactive for the Broncos are Tracy Porter, Knowshon Moreno, Julius Thomas, Steven Johnson, Sealver Siliga, C.J. Davis, and Caleb Hanie.
Denver will finally have Chris Kuper starting at right guard; as suggested might happen yesterday morning, Keith Brooking will be the Broncos' starting Mike backer, instead of the struggling Joe Mays.
Chris Harris will start in place of the ailing Tracy Porter across from Champ Bailey.
The Chargers will be without starting left tackle Jared Gaither, kicker Nate Kaeding, safety Brandon Taylor, nickel corner Shareece Wright, defensive tackle Antonio Garay, linebacker Jonas Mouton, and tight end Ladarius Green. Gaither's expected absence means undrafted rookie Mike Harris will be responsible for protecting Philip Rivers's blind side.
Chargers wideouts Eddie Royal and Robert Meachem are both expected to play, after having been listed as questionable.
Archie Manning says his son went with his heart in choosing Denver over his other free-agent suitors, and he blames "rust" for Peyton and a "brutal schedule" for the Broncos' 2-3 start.
Andy Benoit expects San Diego will be less able to take advantage of Von Miller in pass coverage than last year due to his improving skills there, and he thinks Denver's tight ends and/or Brandon Stokely will be featured in tonight's game plan.
Eric Decker says the offense still needs to get off to better starts; Lindsay Jones thinks the key for Denver is receiving big contributions from Von and Demaryius Thomas; Sam DeWitt thinks the Broncos barely win, even if everything goes as he hopes.
Enjoy the game, and Go Broncos!
