Enjoy the game!
Sure he's a good QB but last night a backup QB was much better.
At the end of the day though.. Romo is NOT worth $55 million any way you slice it. Sorry.
He was tremendously successful in Montreal. Couple of Grey Cups and routinely top ranked offenses. 40 year old cancer survivor Anthony Calvillo shattered passing records under Trestman up there.
he's made McCown look great - you're probably right.
Mark's acorn fell closer to the senile Al tree than the evil genius Al tree.
I think that overstates the case a bit. Jeff George finished his career 46-78 and was straight up blackballed from the league. Cutler is 56-46 and he'll be the most highly paid free agent QB this summer.
Honestly, I think any quarterback voluntarily leaving Marc Trestman is crazy.
I wish Al Davis could have lived forever.
actually that's probably a great comparison.
No, not biased at all. He's the new Jeff George.
I'm sure Jeremiah (Jay) Ratliff is thrilled today.
The reboot of Al Davis. (Dan Snyder is in a whole different category)
Skip is a man who learned how to make a career for himself by being a bloviating jerk.
I can see all of that occurring - I just wonder if Cutler is already too stubborn\set in his ways to truly help a team get to the next level.
Or am just looking at him through biased bronco eyes?
Yes, because Romo is responsible for an offensive line that still can't pass protect, a defense that gave up nearly 500 yards to an offense with 35-year-old journeyman Josh McCown as QB, and the fact that Monte Kiffin happens to be the guy running said defense.
Skip Bayless' quote is just him following the narrative, as par for the course for him.
Tennessee and Houston are already being rumored. I guess wherever Shanahan lands is a possibility, too. He's better than the three-headed suck monster under center in Minnesota right now. Too bad AZ dropped $26 million on Carson Palmer last year. That would have been a pretty good fit. Good receivers and a relatively sedate fan base.
Cowboys fans deserve nothing less. And, when he's ready to step down as active GM @ 91, his idiot son Stephen will be ready to take the reins.
So with the backup playing so well does that mean Cutler is gone for sure? Where does he wind up?
And Romo threw for over 500 yards against us. Romo is a good quarterback.
I don't like the Cowboys nor do I like Jerry Jones. I also think he's a terrible GM. Naturally I think Jerry and the Cowboys are a great fit. I hope he's the GM for life.
Garrett trusting his defense more than Romo is priceless. They allowed 33 first downs, FFS.
finally I can agree with Skip Bayless on something
"Dallas' $55 million guaranteed QB has thrown for all over 104 yards tonight. Chicago's backup has thrown for nearly 350, 4 TDs & run 1 in." - Skip
Jerry Jones approves of his GM, plans to continue for 15-20 years
And make people appreciate fox and gase and company, too. The Dallas offensive scheme and play calling is really suspect. And they punted down 13 pts at the bears 41.
Watching this game should put the troubles our secondary is having in perspective. What was the Dallas D doing on the Bears TD?
