Enjoy the game, and Go Broncos!
Did Richard "I stole Busta Rhymes gimmick" Sherman hack your account "bra"? I actually like the Seahawks, and think Russell Wilson is a stud. The fans, or The 12th man, as Seattlites refer to themselves as, are who I find annoying. For a team that has never won anything, or couldn't sell out a stadium to save a blackout not very long ago, their fans act like a bunch of high school girls who just had their first beer. Kudos on the Super Bowl...er...preseason win last night.
You mad bra?
You're right. That was a very ugly game. It didn't feel like the team quit in this one though, so at least we have that going for us.
And Welker now, and Champ and Bradley. Total disaster.
At least you guys don't live in Seattle. They are acting like they just won the Super Bowl around here.
Sucking in Seattle Lard?
Not that I really care anymore. but Williams trapped that last TD catch. Forget the TD, that wasn't even a catch.
Tell Oz to step up in the pocket! He didn't handle the exterior pass rush good on that third down.
Is this a new crew? I don't recognize these refs.
For what its worth, Peyton Manning's 2011 Colts (whom went to the Superbowl to lose to the Saints) went 1-3 in the preseason which included a 10-33 loss to STL. So, to recap, preseason scores mean nothing...
If the refs call the Ronnie Hillman play correctly (he should've hung onto the ball anyway), the score is 14-27.
If they don't turn over the ball, it's a closer game.
So, I'm just glad they're getting all of the kinks out now when the games don't count. Good news though, its going to get a lot easier to form your roster because all of the plays you didn't execute on happened in this game.
That half reminded me of the Oakland fiasco when the boy genius was coaching and the team quit on him. Hope this is just meaningless preseason stuff.
Yah twitter reporters just confirmed the foot quote, no word on severity, hope it's just a tweak. ((Gets out rosary beads))
Scoreless in Seattle Lard?
I remember the last time Champ pulled a hammy. Was not good.
Not making excuses for some poor plays but the refs in this game are ...not in regular season form. Truly abysmal.
Foxy said something about his foot, I think. Probably looked worse than it really is. I just hope Wolfe gets better, and not just so he can play football.
That was one of the ugliest halves of football I've seen in a long time. Thank goodness it's only the pre-season.
looks like champ is hurt now
Indeed. Yeah hopefully Champ just pulled a hammy or even better cramped up.
I noticed since Bradley left the field Denver D stiffened. I'm discounting the two FG's and the last TD because of the short field resulting from the TO's.
Good news at least:
“@bylindsayhjones: John Fox tells @Rod9sports at half that all initial reports on Derek Wolfe are positive news.”
Part of the game, nothing you can do about it unfortunately. But you have to evaluate talent and develop your players somehow before the regular season starts so... Oh well.
Champ's going to play week one, I promise.
Yah I spoke too soon. Sigh....
Yes obviously this is far worse. Last week D looked better. Offense erratic but not as sloppy. This game is an outlier, except for injury worries.
Jeez is everyone getting injured? This is my biggest fear. And why I hate pre season. Can we just play all fourth string and beyond rest of exhibition games?
Commentator: "he has even more hair on his chin than he does on his head"
yeah no shit he is fucking bald with the biggest beard I ever saw
And Champ pulls up lame. Shit.
This is the first game I've seen this pre-season. I assume that last week was completely night and day? Because boy, this game scares the snot out of me.
Vasquez got injured on the last series :(
Did the team practice this week?
Wow, this is possibly the most aggravating pre season game I can recall for our guys in years. If Wolfe is ok and there are no other injuries, it won't be the disaster it seems like. The only other bright side I can see is its a good time to have a wake up call that there are still things to work on and it's not gonna be always so easy--in a game that doesn't mean jack.
Also, Pete Caroll is such a jack ass.
Vasquez injured and out per MaseDenver
Ugh, I'm wanting to see some of the other guys play, but I'm on the east coast and don't really want to stay up past midnight to see the second half. Enjoy the rest of the game, guys.
Woof. Brock needs to settle down.
Ball missed on a big block early, Hillman was underwhelming, im going to be upset if we let MCGahee go for anything other than injury, we have plenty of $
Great 4th Down stop. That was great Downhill defense and Nate Irving was a big part of it.
Not to mention the guy who made the tackle, Von Miller.
Also, Montee Ball runs his best game on inside zone calls. He has showed most of the game that he can use his vision to make precise cuts and run through the hole (one cut and go). Continue to give that man the rock and develop him.
It was, but the defense finally got pissed.
Good call on 4th down, Pete.
They really don't want to get their hankies dirty, do they? The gunner on the near side that punt was damn near taken for a full 360,
Curled into a ball and cried himself to sleep on the play, I think.
Sloppy in Seattle Lard?
I do really like Russell Wilson, though.
In other news, Pete Carroll is an ass.
hit on Oz due to a puss Julius Thomas block
Seahawks a Bunch of Showboating, Arrogant A**holes Lard. Hmm, too long?
I muted these doofuses on the TV. Is Osweiler playing with the 1s?
I hope they do, too.
I hope the Niners f*cking annihilate them. God, I hate Pete Carroll.
I feel stupid for saying this, but I'm developing honest hatred for these dirty bastards. It will be beautiful when they get smacked around in the playoffs again.
"Special" Teams Lard
I tried to be nice. :)
What? This is a preseason game. Means absolutely nothing, and the officials are doing a terrible job. Not their fault that Denver is losing, but they certainly aren't doing their jobs.
Is it time yet to guess the name of tomorrow lard
I'm stuck listening to the same guys. I finally just muted it before my remote found its way through my tv screen. I mean, brutally bad.
Loosers whine about refs. This team has been hearing nothing but "Broncos, Superbowl favorites" for the last month, and there are teams that are younger and hungrier out to get them.
Well, now we know who the 13th man is...
We don't play these dirty assholes during the regular season, do we?
Ticky-tack fucking bullshit.
These officials suck.
It's pre-season so it matters even less than normal. Remember this is where they ruled Golden Tate made that catch last year over the Packers in a real game.
i dont get it
Not to excuse a fumble at the goal line...
Ball is dead and it is a TD. Can't have a turnover any more than if you fumble out of bounds.
Everytime you see the Pistol formation, watch for the outside zone
Am I wrong or is it not a TD if the ball crosses the plane of the goal line?
The replay booth looked at that play for about 1.5 seconds.
Okay, yet another piece of jackasshattery by the refs. If the refs are going to let the Seasquawks get away with all the extra-BS and refuse to call the game straight and fair, then I hope Fox pulls all the starters right now.
I dunno - I couldn't see it that well, watching a stream instead of a broadcast, but it looked like the ball was over the plane before it came loose.
Time to see what Mantee Ball can do
Hillman looks awesome!
I think we just saw Hillman lose his starting position
How could that not be a TD
should have known better, obviously it was going to be another fight
I think he looks stronger this year, for what it is worth.
I'm thinking Welker again.
He's adequate, but he's not doing a bad job. He got a lot better keeping his pad level, is better at anticipating contact, has the cuts we all knew he had. He's just not at his ceiling yet.
many plays seems like he's about to bust one then poof its over he's down
He doesn't seem to get the tough yards, does he?
Seattle is still constantly going for the head, though, so there is that.
During the timeout I'm calling the next play...
This is an underneath route to Decker over the middle for a TD
Are we watching hillman lose the starting job
Yeah, I think you're right. Timed it beautifully.
No offsides call? Really?
I think the refs decided the play had already passed, and upon review, I think I have to agree, if that works as an excuse for refs that is
You know, Peyton can just lob up balls and one of the Thomases will probably come down with it. Otherwise, just look underneath for Welker.
I was spoiled growing up in LA listening to Chick Hearn and VIn Sculley. Announcers that good are rare.
Why you drafted Ronnie Hillman:
To make cuts before the defender approaches, and still make him miss.
Why are trapped in listening to the opposing team's announcers for the second time in a row?
This commentary is ridiculous, going on for 5 minutes about how the seahawks coaches are so dumb for not challenging it because it was a fumble, they have completely forgot that the Seahawks didn't recover it clearly or at all
Why are the announcers sometimes the dumbest people watching
To recap the Broncos touchdown play:
Broncos called an Empty set with a 2x3 look with Julius Thomas designated as the A (TE) to Peyton Manning's right side, Julius Thomas ran a Seam to break up the cover 2, Demaryius Thomas ran a 9 route (Go) to force the defense to play deep which left Welker room to get open underneath. Perfect Manning play with his patented Levels concepts.
Holding? No, man. No holding here.
On the good side, it allows our offense to get more work!
How was that NOT a block in the back on #41? Total BS on these refs -- they're letting too much trash go.
Yes. Pete Carroll is a total jerk.
It seems like they're leading with their helmets on most plays. WTH? Do they get coached to do that?
Dude is so scary quick.
Play on big JT play:
Dice Bunch Right H-Check Mesh
I am no doctor but I can google:
Recovery After Spinal Cord Injury
Contrary to popular belief, recovery is the rule and not the exception in spinal cord injury. If a person has even a trace of voluntary movement or touch sensation below the injury site shortly after injury, that person has a good prognosis for substantial recovery. In the United States about 10,000 people every year have traumatic spinal cord injuries of sufficient severity to require hospitalization. More than 60 percent of people who are admitted to hospitals with the diagnosis of spinal cord injury have “incomplete” injuries. A much larger number of people suffer a milder form of spinal cord injury called whiplash, which causes temporary loss of arm or leg function. An estimated 4 out of 1,000 people, or about a million a year, are treated for whiplash. Thus, many people walk away from spinal cord injury. On the other hand, about 250,000 people in the United States have had severe traumatic spinal cord injury from which they did not recover.
In other news, watching Welkah abuse defenders for my own team is going to kick ass this year.
From what I have seen so far this game, Bradley is a liability in the pass game and I am not impressed with his run defense either
Can I call BS on this game? The seasquawks aren't looking like a dirty team again this year. Standard Pete Carroll crap.
I suppose the cut block was technically legal (though I don't like seeing it), but that second hit was dirty.
Wolfe got blocked down at the knees and the #26 went straight for his head at full speed. It was about as cheap of a shot that I've seen for a long time.
What an awful start all around. Jeez.
I'm hoping it amounts to nothing because he seemed to be moving around quite a bit before they made him roll over onto his back and brought out the stretcher. Hopefully it's just preseason precautions.
What chaps my hide is that the Seattle announcers are sitting there fluffing the dirty hit that put Wolfe on the ground. The TE led with his head and hit Wolfe right in his helmet. Kid needs to sit his ass on the bench and be reamed for that.
Just hope this is precautionary...looks like a head/neck injury. Very scary stuff.
Wolfe's down. It doesn't look good at all
Shit. Wolfe is down.
