Enjoy the games!
The pain over at ArrowheadPride isn't creating any Schadenfreude that it could have. Maybe last's year Ravens game is still too close, but I felt their pain...
Same old Chiefs.
Mayock blah blah blahed about the Chiefs injuries until I wanted to puke. However, it put into perspective how remarkable our Broncos' season has been. Denver has played significantly short-handed basically all year...all the way to home field throughout.
Good riddance to the false Cinderella Chiefs. Real teams overcome and motor on.
I´m excited to see the coaching decisions both Kelly and Payton will grace us with tonight.
Lots of emotion in Indy right now. Will be interesting to see how it translates into their play next week.
Meltdown of epic proportions.
Couldn't have happened to a better team.
1072. Thank you, both Ds.
Ouch. That had to hurt.
Over 1000 combined. Nuts.
Indy better have a man watching Smith himself.
So far pretty wild.
So, can Mr Smith convert a 4th & 11?
Clutch int grounding there Smithy.
I'd openly root for KC to get win now after blowing it due to all their injuries but again, am too superstitious to root for anything. Game is ridiculous.
Defense? What is this defense you speak of?
Will KC come back, or will they respect their 20 year tradition?
Colts have 538 total yards today.
Epic collapse. I can imagine the stories being written about "The Hub City Miracle" already. Game isn't over yet though.
The playoffs are just the wildest, aren´t they?
They're going to blow a 28 point lead to extend their two decade long playoff victory drought or they're going to hang on and get absolutely trucked next week.
Yeah, that was impressive too.
Thanks. Glad its not Chiefs Planet. I won't venture there without a hazmat suit.
Myself, I´m admiring #52, who repeatedly struck his fallen teammate in the head after the play.
True, but the injuries are a real shame. KC has really suffered today, and I fear the waahmbulance the entire offseason from their fans if they lose today.
Indy 99 was an idiot on that play. No idea of what was going on during that screen pass.
Not a good football game by any stretch, but quite entertaining in its own way.
Which forum? Be kind of fun just to see them stressing out right now.
Gosh the chiefs are being ripped apart by injuries. I'd almost feel sorry for them if broncos didn't have their own boatload of injuries this year. Bad timing for them tho obvi.
That pass Smith sailed over his open WR might be the costliest thing to happen to KC today. It´s that, his fumble, or, obviously, Charles´ concussion.
I need to add that to my vocabulary.
Definitely did not want a 5th turnover. !5! and they are still in this! Sucky D both ways I s'pose. Colts have been a great late team though.
You´re generous. I think 60 is a real possibility if the Broncos don´t call the hounds off.
This is quite the collapse. I'll have to lurk at the Chiefs' blog game thread for some high comedy.
Especially how the ball ka-doinked off that dude's head.
Was just thinking same thing. Think I'm rooting for KC to hold on at this point because Indys offense is scarier and KC is banged up but gosh neither D looks like they'd give up less than 50 to Denver right now.
And people say luck plays a minor role in the playoffs?
They should get a couple extra style points for that one.
Wowza... what a play.
The prospect of the Broncos offense playing either of these defenses is starting to look very appealing.
Yeah, they never did get much in the way of press.
Please, I implore you, tell me more about the KC defense, because it´s the first I´ve heard of them.
But the KC defense is vaunted, Goeland.
He certainly won't be at his best. Look at how shaky Welker was against New England.
This is precisely what I'm talking about.
Looks like we aren´t going to see a lot of good defense today.
Mild concussions mostly -- they'll be swept under the rug by the med staffs and all the dinged up players will be on the field next week.
Now we can say Luck has sucked.
There is that. If Charles comes back after missing the rest of this game for a concussion, I'm going to be scratching my head.
These basketball fans can get noisy when they feel like it.
The three-in-a-row thing freaks me out, too. Whether it's rational or not.
Yeah I think I'm just being a worrywart mostly. ;)
Kansas City looks like the preferable opponent just because they're getting shredded with injuries in this game.
Didn't the Chargers just barely beat the KC second string with the help of a no-call procedure penalty?
I would much rather Denver go for revenge against the division foe that handed them their only home loss than the division foe that nearly beat them the last time they played. The Denver loss to the Chargers was super fluky, too.
Concussed by a teammate's ass. Glad to see Flowers up, that was scary for a second.
Yeah overall, me too. And chiefs defense looks vulnerable once again. (As we speak.) chargers just seem like they're hot and dangerous right now. (Tho they still have tough road game to get through first)
I'd rather see the Broncos play the Kool-aid walrus for the third time than the Chargers.
Welp, looks like we're going to be facing a division rival next weekend eh guys? That's okay but the thought of having to beat KC three times this season worries me at least on a slightly irrational superstitious if not historical level. Anyone else feeling that? Chargers would be pesky too, as we know, though I'd love to get revenge on their asses.
He also needs to protect the ball, and those scrambles are dangerous, as we just saw.
That Trent Richardson trade sure looks terrible at this point. It might be as bad as the Alphonso Smith trade.
Smith's toughness is admirable, but with the game in hand, he needs to protect himself or he may get his own concussion.
Apparently so. Kinda funny to read your 2 hour old question now when it seemed like a very sage question at the time.
Could it be that the idea of momentum is inane, oh all-knowing pundits? Seriously. And what are we supposed to do after hearing that Sutton "quietly" did a great job in KC this year? He was only praised relentlessly for a "historically great" defense during 9 weeks!
Oh my gosh, this game.
I'm thinking I'll be a little nervous if KC is our foe next week.
Yeah, but I think Cincy would beat NE
KC is doing what they need to do, but holy shit is Indy all kinds of awful.
Wow. This is now qualifying as unwatchable. Indy really benefitted from the total suckage of the AFC South.
I'm hoping it's the Chargers.
Looking like we'll be playing someone for the third time.
If the result holds, I expect that to be the narrative next year. We´ll be asked if he´s the next Dalton, or heaven forbid, "another Peyton Manning".
Luck just can't win the big one.
It must be the QB´s fault!
I'm shocked how awful the Indy defense is. AT HOME. IN THE PLAYOFFS.
Indy is playing so badly, they're gonna force me to root for SD tomorrow. I don't want to see Denver try to beat KC three times this season.
This is a bleeping massacre.
Time to place our bets on which is the worst D in the playoffs. When all is said and done, will it be Indy's? Green Bay´s? Philly´s? San Diego´s?
Time to start spying Smith, at least on third down. Dude's killing the Colts every time they play man.
Frankly, after reading Doug´s links today, I´m thinking I´d favor a 90-days mandatory rest, like in boxing. That Belcher story and Ted Johnson´s testimony really are too chilling.
Every time there's a third down
No rub there. That was a fucking Karl Malone style pick.
That's gonna be a big story to watch if they do. It would have to be one helluva 'mild' concussion for him to go, I would think.
Concussion. Who knows about next week if they make it.
The Indy defense is no bueno on third down. The crowd is out of it as well.
Jamaal Charles is definitely out.
Luck got rid of the ball very quickly during the first series, but he´s been slipping since, I agree with you. Keep in mind, his WRs aren´t great route-runners, so it´s hard to know where to put the blame.
Seemed like he left 5-10 yards or more had he kept going.
Wasn't that helmet-to-helmet, right there?
Luck shoulda kept on chuggin'. Nice play.
From what little I've seen, it looks like the rush is getting a lot of help from the coverage. Luck has been holding on to the ball forever, it seems like.
KC is getting some QB pressure today.
Indeed, he´s not playing, but it might not be as bad as it looks, since his struggles this season were not insignificant (per PFF´s grades and other experts).
Not really caring which team wins, but the Cheaps are getting away with a lot of holding.
T3PO is Jar-Jarring.
This is without Fisher on the KC o-line, correct?
And then the Colts fumble. KC is getting some of that early season good fortune back, it seems.
That Trent Richardson deal is just looking better and better.
Just got to the game in time to see KC go nowhere on 1st down, nowhere on 2nd down and 79 yards for a TD on 3rd and 10. Has it been like this the whole first quarter?
Absolutely pathetic on 3rd and 10.
Indy´s defense is also playing like garbage. Donnie Avery? WTF?
Dang KC. Looking good. # 28 for the Colts needs to sit if that's all the fast he can run.
Even their special teams are looking meh, and that was one of their hugest advantages this season.
I would be pretty surprised. I'll give them credit if they pull this game out w/o Charles.
I bet most of America thought, just hold it idiot, you will score anyway no problem... Oops
Not if it makes them toothless in the red zone. This last drive was wasted.
Bet Bowe is regretting not trying to lateral now that Reid wussed out and settled for a FG.
That actually help me look at the game from a kind of neutral position. Makes it easy to root for Luck who I like and against the Chiefs who are stinky.
I can't even reason whom I would like the Broncos to play, I guess I want the colts out of the playoffs most (this round anyway)
Why is Robinson on Hilton, who´s the best Indy WR? That match-up should be Flowers´.
Can KC win without their main offensive player!?
Kansas City's defense looks like garbage.
People need to get off Kansas City's backs. Anybody can go a couple decades without a playoff victory.
Evening all, Kyle Orton is watching these Alex Smith passes thinking they're a bit dangerous and risky.
