Here are the day's inactives. Enjoy the games, and Go Chargers and Cardinals!
Holy fuckin shit, thank you for directing me to that gem
Just watching Romo yell at Dez again and couldn't help but think that if it was reversed I would have been putting another notch on the ol' DT > DB ladder
And I just like the guy and I always will.
That´s a very good point, but I still have my doubts. We´ll see on Black Monday, I guess.
Kubiak is under contract through next year and Rick Smith was extended through 2016. I doubt McNair will eat both of their deals and Smith's long term relationship with Kubiak makes me think he's safe.
There have been rumblings about serious managerial dissatisfaction this year, though, and that´s really unusual for the Texans. The way Kubiak has handled the Schaub situation has been a really sore point, what with, for instance, his pointless reinsertion in the game last week. Plus, at this point, given how long he´s been a coach, I think his weaknesses are generally magnified, and he´s certainly partially responsible for the Texans´ misfortunes over the years.
He may get fired, but I don't think its a foregone conclusion or particularly justified. His team was massacred by injuries and his quarterback played like a double agent. They've lost five games by five, three, three, one and one point. Kind of sucks when your QB dishes up a pick six and you lose by less than a TD five times. Kind of think I would give any head coach in that position a Mulligan, especially if he was coming off a 12 win season just a year ago.
Kubiak is gone. No way he can stay after this year.
I hope Houston loses out. I want to see Kubiak get Bridgewater.
Which is a pretty regular state of affairs.
Houston losing to the Jags, the Lions losing against TB... Oh, and let´s not forget about Atlanta. This year will have seen some of the most spectacular of implosions when all is said and done. I really wonder who´ll end up with the first draft pick, now.
That probability chart is a joke. It is like a shooter moving the target so the bullseye is always where the bullet made the hole.
Donovan McNabb is very confused right now
Over the course of the early games, I've become convinced the refs know less about the rules than I do. Apparently they're now flagging the defense for breathing the QB's air...
At least Boogers isn't doing the Game tonight.
Thank you Mike McCoy!
Happiest I'll ever be about chargers winning. Love it! Did not expect a high scoring shoutout, I'm sure no one did. But love to see KC choke at home. Now IF broncos can win tonight they're in great shape regardless of next week. If they lose they can still be in good shape by knocking off the Queefs next week.
Thanks Phyllis and Friends!
He´s just an abysmal passer. Keep on licking his boots, media. It makes these displays so much sweeter.
Thank you dolts! That's big.
Down goes Smith !!
PFR.... Phyllis comes through...
Thank you, Chargers. We need someone besides the Broncos to beat the chefs !!
Still time to blow it
Since the Chargers are completely inept in the red zone, that sack may have helped them. How fabulous do the tears of KC fans taste?
Holy Cow!!Rivers does something good in the 4th quarter !!
proposed nfl rule change... fg of say 57+ yards is worth 4 points.
Rivers still loves pressure at crucial times, I see.
Let 'em score, San Diego. Give Rivers the ball with 90 seconds left. Best chance to win.
Given how hard teams fight for the inches that could make a difference, it´s stunning to realize that in those situations, teams generally die from self-inflicted wounds (in terms of vastly diminished efficiency).
Nice time for a 3 and out
Watching McCoy try to run out the clock with 5 minutes left reminds me of why the Broncos lost in the playoffs last year !!
Given how well they´re stopping Charles, the question is legitimate. Thankfully, Alex Smith is dog shit.
Yes it was
To be fair 2 of their best players are banged up on the sidelines.
Man, that Chiefs defense sure is good.
Is there a worse defense on the 4th quarter than the Chargers' ?
That win prob chart is ridiculous
Sweet! Keep it up dolts
13 year old Andrew Reid dwarfing everybody on the field in the Punt, Pass and Kick Competition was the best thing of the weekend so far.
OK Rivers. Your defense just gave you the ball back at your opponents 20-yd line. Can you score now?
whether they are getting the calls correct or not, wth is up with the refs huddling up to parley on every flag thrown?
The most inexplicably lucky team in NFL history. Maybe with apologies to Tebow's Broncos.
That man downfield call was chickenshit, however.
Seriously, the quality of play in the Houston/Jacksonville game is no worse.
I thought so at first but you have to turn your head to the ball, ruined an otherwise great defensive play.
Flags are the Chef's best friends wow. Did they get more yards on the flags than from the offense?
make that all 3.
First one yes, second not so much, third one yes.
as much as i hate to say it, both calls were correct, imho.
Chiefs can hardly complete a pass, but the Chargers D is just handing over yardage (and points) with Defense PI calls. Horrible San Diego defense.
San Diego just got jobbed
Houston has an elbow. Neither one back after halftime yet
Said its an ankle. Not sure about Houston
Missed it. Any word?
Chargers again safely in punt range.
Not looking good so far
Punt inside the 40. Lovely.
It looks like a big injury. Wouldn't be surprised if that's it for his season.
Looks serious, Simms may be right about the Achilles
It looks like the Chefs finally figured out how to convert some first downs.
The chefs are looking like the Sparklers could knock them down today, the wheels on the bus might be coming off!
