Nate Irving to undergo knee surgery; Virgil Green doubtful

Nate Irving will soon undergo surgery on his injured knee. The fourth-year linebacker has a partially torn MCL, but the Broncos reportedly think he may have a torn ACL as well. The team placed Irving on IR.

As expected, Ronnie Hillman has been ruled out for Sunday's game.

Virgil Green, who was also held out all week, is doubtful for Sunday's game at St. Louis. There's some confusion as to his injury, as the Troy Renck and Jeff Legwold say he's dealing with a lingering calf problem, but the official site lists a knee issue (h/t Royalwithcheese).

Seven others are probable, including Montee Ball, Ryan Clady, and Orlando Franklin.

The Rams continue to have major health problems in their secondary, as corner Marcus Roberson is out, and Lamarcus Joyner is doubtful.
