Peyton Manning is likely to be limited in practice this week, but "absolutely will play" on Sunday night against the Chiefs, after an MRI turned up no new damage to his injured ankle.
Manning originally suffered a high right ankle sprain in Week 6 against Jacksonville, and aggravated the injury at Indianapolis in Week 7, and again yesterday at San Diego.
According to Mike Klis, the NFL will not fine Corey Liuget for Sunday's hit, having determined that the Chargers end initially hit Manning's thigh with his helmet.
But Jack Del Rio says the team has submitted the play to the league for review.
Meanwhile, Kansas City returned from its bye with a full-squad practice today and activated S Sanders Commings from short-term IR.
Manning needs only five touchdown passes to pass Craig Morton for the second most in franchise history.
