Browns acquire #3 pick, presumably for Richardson

7:59 pm - Mike Klis says the Broncos have Doug Martin rated as the #2 RB behind Richardson

7:40 pm - Adam Schefter says the Jags are still trying to move up for Justin Blackmon

7:10 pm - Cleveland has moved up one spot to #3 overall, and they reportedly gave up a fourth-, fifth-, and seventh-rounder to do so. Speculation on NFLN is that they've done so with the intention of drafting Trent Richardson there.

Good Afternoon, Broncos fans! We're going to do our best to cover the day as we did the Peyton Manning developments, which is to say my eyeballs will be on the verge of falling out sometime around the time Andrew Luck goes off the board.

As we did throughout that insanity, we'll post new stuff above the break here, and then move it below Twitter feed-style as new entries push them lower, and as usual, we'll try to keep it to the most reputable of sources. Less newsworthy content (especially analysis, and Raiders news) will often go immediately below the break. I realize that can be annoying, but I just want to keep the important stuff up top. Enjoy the madness!

Broncos

5:41 pm - More related from Schefter: Our @1023ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter says the #Broncos have received multiple calls and will look to trade down out of #25

5:37 pm - Cecil Lammey: ESPN @AdamSchefter says #broncos haven't given much thought to trading up #NFLDraft

5:08 pm - On NFLN, Michelle Beisner says "don't be surprised" if the Broncos take Kendall Wright or Coby Fleener at #25

3:59 pm - Not much different than what he wrote in today's DP, from Mike Klis: If Michael Brockers-Dontari Poe go off the board by No. 25, chances increase Broncos' next "best player available'' won't be DT. Non-DT possibilities: Georgia Tech WR Stephen Hill, Alabama CB Dre Kirkpatrick; Baylor WR Kendall Wright. But Broncos also like DTs Jerel Worthy and Kendall Reyes.

3:29 pm - And, following Schefter's mention of Green Bay wanting to move up, from Cecil Lammey: just found out #packers 1st rd pick could be on the move, may approach #broncos for 25th overall ...stay tuned! #nfldraft

3:00 pm - Via Gary Myers: When Colts traded Elway to Broncos, part of deal was Denver agreeing to host Colts in 2 preseason games. Worth $800,000 for Robert Irsay.

1:14 pm - Bucky Brooks doesn't believe the Jets are trying to move up for Trent Richardson, or that the Vikes are taking anyone but Matt Kalil, and he even floats the idea of Denver going after Ryan Tannehill should the A&M passer start to slide.

1:04 pm - Here's a tour of the Denver draft room as presented by some guy named Elway. BTW, do we really have to call it a war room? Why must sport be conflated with blood-spilling combat?

News

6:32 pm - The league and NFLPA have agreed on the rookie salary pool figures.

4:55 pm - The Giants signed DT Shaun Rogers.

4:45 pm - GM Bruce Allen has confirmed that Washington will take RG3.

4:48 pm - John Clayton adds Detroit to Schefter's list of teams looking to move up, citing Luke Kuechly and Mark Barron as targets. However, Jason La Canfora says it's Stephon Gilmore that Detroit is after.

4:45 pm - Chatter out of Minnesota is the Vikings are leaning towards Chris Claiborne at #3.

3:22 pm - Adam Schefter: Teams open to trading back for the right offer include Minnesota, Tampa Bay, Miami, Seattle, Dallas, NY Jets, Detroit.

3:19 pm - Adam Schefter: Teams open to trading up if right player is there include Jacksonville, Buffalo, Philadelphia, San Diego, New England, Green Bay.

This contrasts just a wee bit with all the talk that Jacksonville was desperate to move back out of the #7 spot.

3:14 pm - Dallas reportedly would love to take Barron at #14 but don't expect him to fall there; instead, word is they'll be happy to take Michael Brockers in his stead.

1:51 pm - According to Albert Breer, the Patriots have been in touch with Seattle about a potential move up to #12, and his guess is it's with Mark Barron in mind.

Peter King says the Rams (#6) and Jags (#7) would love to move back, Indy would like to move Dwight Freeney for a pick, and he thinks there's a chance Janoris Jenkins slips into the back of the first round.

Analysis

1:37 pm - Greg Gabriel says most draft decisions should have been made long before today, and he also finds it disgraceful to refer to a draft room as a "war room."

Chris Brown sees in Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III the beginning of a new age where prospects are more commonly taught the intricacies of quarterbacking from a young age, something that was a rarity back in Jack and John Elway's day. Plus, some YT clips of the two QBs.

Mike Tanier and Doug Farrar scout LSU CB Morris Claiborne, Alabama RB Trent Richardson, Stanford QB Andrew Luck, and Baylor QB Robert Griffin III; Tanier lists his top five prospects at a few key positions.

Mockery

1:41 pm - Sam DeWitt is hoping for Devon Still, Montana CB Trumaine Johnson, and Oregon RB LaMichael James atop Denver's draft.

Here's the top half and bottom half of Farrar's first-round mock, in which Denver takes Jerel Worthy at #25.
