Leonhard to New Orleans; third Denver defender to leave via free agency

Former Broncos safety and punt fair-catcher Jim Leonhard is headed to New Orleans, where he'll reunite with the Ryan family.

Leonhard had played under Rex Ryan with the Ravens and LOLJets, and he'll now play under Sexy Rexy's twin brother Rob, who is coordinating the Saints defense.

Jason Hunter and Tracy Porter were the first Denver defenders to leave as free agents, both to Oakland, while Elvis Dumervil went to Baltimore, and D.J. Williams joined the Bears, after each was cut by the Broncos.

FWIW, Williams is due a $900K base salary in Chicago, but received no guarantees with his one-year deal.

Kevin Vickerson and David Bruton are the only Denver free agents who have re-signed so far, with Brandon Stokley, Ty Warren, and Matt Willis likely headed elsewhere.

Chris Gronkowski and Caleb Hanie won't be back, while it's unclear whether Justin Bannan, Keith Brooking, and Dan Koppen have any chance of returning.
