Injury Report: Welker will play; Bailey unlikely

Last updated: Nov 22, 2013 4:46 PM

All signs this week had pointed to Wes Welker making the trip to New England to face his former team.

Indeed, he's listed as probable after participating in full during Friday's practice, but Jack Del Rio says there's no question whether Welker will play.

Welker, Peyton Manning, and seven other Broncos are probable; Julius Thomas and Champ Bailey were again limited and are questionable for Sunday night's game.

As per usual, New England and Bill Belichick have been deceptive about their injuries all week.

Alfonzo Dennard, Aqib Talib, Kyle Arrington, Steve Gregory, and Leon Washington are listed as questionable, even while multiple reports say Dennard will not play.

TE Michael Hoomanawanui has been ruled out.

Six players are probable, including three players who were listed as limited participants each day - Rob Gronkowski, Danny Amendola, and Brandon Spikes.

Pats RT Marcus Cannon was fined $15,750 for his leg whip of Panthers DE Charles Johnson, who will not play this week as a result of the injury he suffered on the play.

Greg Bedard thinks Bill Belichick will be gunning for Welker, perhaps even putting WR Julian Edelman in on defense to cover him.
