Peyton Manning rested his ailing right ankle on Wednesday, while Champ Bailey returned to practice, albeit in a limited fashion.

Nate Irving (shoulder) and Joel Dreessen (knee) were also held out, while Robert Ayers got the day off with his wife expecting the birth of their first child.

Wes Welker and Duke Ihenacho were limited by ankle injuries.

For Kansas City, WR Dexter McCluster and DL Mike Catapano were also limited with ankle issues, while five others were listed on the injury report as full participants.
