According to Adam Schefter, Broncos DT Kevin Vickerson suffered a dislocated hip on Sunday night. While the injury will not require surgery, it will keep Big Vick out for at least six weeks, and may end his season.
Vickerson has played 403 snaps in 11 games (consistently 35-40 per game), grading out at minus-6.4 overall. PFF credits him with one sack, one QB hit, 14 hurries, two batted passes, 20 total tackles, and 17 stops.
Vickerson's absence figures to translate into more playing time for first-rounder Sly Williams, who was on the field for a season-high 36 snaps at New England, registering one hurry, one tackle, and one stop, for a +0.3 grade.
Mitch Unrein, who has been playing around 15-20 snaps per game, would also likely see more action as well.
For Kansas City, it's expected that Justin Houston's dislocated elbow will keep him out of the rematch, while it's also not clear that Tamba Hali will be available, even though his ankle injury was characterized as only a "slight sprain" by Andy Reid.
