Just remember: no matter how bad things are, they can always get worse.
For example, you could be a Chiefs fan right about now. All year long their team gave them false hope, from their acquisition of Alex Smith, to their weak-ass schedule, to their near win against the Chargers with their reserves in Week 17.
For about three quarters tonight, they even had the God of Turnovers (he's a random bastard) smile upon them yet again. Then, reality struck. Injuries piled up and trickery wore off. You can't slant route, checkdown, and zone read your way to a playoff win--unless of course, you're Tim Tebow.
And now the Chiefs are home again, due to the second greatest comeback in NFL postseason history. Only this offseason, they are stuck with their average quarterback, they've got no high draft pick, and a schedule that will be much tougher next year.
Chiefs fans should face reality: they are on the way down, not the way up.
