I'm trying not to view this pick in light of the fact that the Broncos wanted C.J. Mosley and were willing to trade up to get him.
So given the context of the pick, getting an above average inside linebacker from the best conference in America ain't too shabby.
Apparently, the Broncos would have taken him with pick #131, but wanted to trade down and get some value with the hopes Barrow would still be there.
Mission accomplished.
Lamin Barrow was productive, he's got some speed, and he's decent in pass coverage, but he's not a huge thumper-style backer.
Check out this tape from his game against Georgia last year:
The thing that also stands out from this tape is that Barrow does a good job of reading through the guard.
He's not an immediate starter, but Barrow could get a look on third down with his speed and coverage abilities.
