Giants sign DRC and Holliday

Not that either player was still a priority for the Broncos, but the Giants have raided the roster of the 2013 AFC Champions for cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and kick returner Trindon Holliday.

DRC got caught trying to haggle too hard on the first day of free agency, and the Broncos signed Aqib Talib instead.

The reported five-year, $35 million contract that DRC got appears to be less lucrative (on the surface, anyway) than the reported six-year, $54 million deal that he turned down from the Broncos.

Holliday had scored six touchdowns on returns for the Broncos, but his persistent ball security issues seem to have led the team to sour on him.

At 5-foot-5, he'll pretty surely be the smallest Giant. (You know it's one of those days when you realize that you just ripped off a bad Florio joke, and you just say the hell with it, and let it roll.)
