Eight coaching slots filled

The Broncos announced a significant portion of their 2011 coaching staff today, including six holdovers from 2010 and two members of John Fox's Carolina staff. They are as follows:

  • Mike McCoy - Offensive Coordinator
  • Dave Magazu - Offensive Line
  • Eric Studesville - Running Backs
  • Clancy Barone - Tight Ends
  • Tyke Tolbert - Wide Receivers
  • Brian Callahan - Offensive Quality Control
  • Wayne Nunnely - Defensive Line
  • Jay Rodgers - Defensive Quality Control

Sean McDermott remains the frontrunner to direct Denver's defense ahead of Jim Mora, while it is believed that Jim Skipper will join the staff in some capacity - perhaps as an assistant head coach, the role he filled in Carolina under Fox. It has been rumored that WR coach Adam Gase will switch over to coach the QBs, but that is not a certainty. Not sure what that means for Ben McDaniels if Gase departs...
