Chiefs expected to take Eric Fisher at #1; could Raiders draft Hayden at #3?

South Carolina RB Marcus Lattimore admits to having no idea when he'll be drafted, if at all, and he says he needs another three months to rehab his knee prior to putting pads on. But according to Lattimore, he should be ready to go in time for Week 1 of the regular season. (9:44am ET)

WR Danario Alexander signed his RFA tender with the Chargers, who added LB D.J. Smith, waived yesterday by Green Bay. (4:48pm ET)

Pick/Team-specific Rumors

Chiefs GM John Dorsey says he and coach Andy Reid are in total agreement about which player they'll take if they stay at #1, and reports continue to suggest that prospect is Central Michigan tackle Eric Fisher. Word out of Texas is that Luke Joeckel has been told the Chiefs are going with Fisher. (5:34pm ET)

In their negotiation for Branden Albert, the Dolphins and Chiefs are reportedly playing a game of chicken relative to which second-rounder (#42 or #54) would head to Kansas City in the deal. The Dolphins are also taking the angle of publicly suggesting they don't even want to give up a second-rounder at all, and now the two sides are apparently pausing their discussion until after the draft begins (6:10pm ET)

The #3 pick held by Oakland is said to be a hot commodity, with Cleveland the primary named linked to it. Tony Pauline says Detroit and Arizona could move up there to get Oklahoma T Lane Johnson, and he doesn't see Oakland taking Florida DT Sharrif Floyd. Rather, Pauline hears the Raiders are after Utah DT Star Lotulelei, as are Philly and CarolinaMiami, San Diego, Atlanta, and San Francisco are also said to be seeking an upward move, but it's not clear whether that means all the way up to #3.

If the Raiders do move down, there's talk it's for Houston CB D.J. Hayden, but Jason La Canfora says teams think they could even take him at #3. (6:27pm ET)

Albert Breer hears the Browns are interested in a move from #6 up into the top three in search of a pass rusher; Mike Florio alternately hears that they may be after WVU QB Geno Smith but aren't moving up to #3. (4:58pm ET)

The Cardinals are said to be hoping that one of the top three tackles falls to them at #7. (9:13am ET)

Ian Rapoport says WVU WR Tavon Austin is atop Buffalo's draft board, while Bills GM Buddy Nix says he sees at least two franchise QBs in this class, and that he plans to take one. (4:25pm ET)

Adam Schefter says the Rams are looking to move back from their second first-round pick at #22, which they acquired from Washington in the RG3 deal. (11:55am ET)

Rapoport says theres a lot of interest in moving up to #24, where Indy currently resides. (4:25pm ET)

Dallas is expected to draft a running back this week. (9:13am ET)

New England reportedly used 1/4 of its official visits on wideouts, and they're said to be taking calls from multiple teams regarding QB Ryan Mallett and a possible trade. Cleveland had been again rumored as a potential landing spot, but the Plain Dealers says that's not the case. (4:25pm ET)

Prospect-specific Rumors

Oregon LB Dion Jordan and Alabama CB are reportedly likely to be ready for the regular season but miss OTAs and part of training camp. (4:25pm ET)

WVU WR Tavon Austin says he's heard from the LOLJets an awful lot of late, and Jeff Darlington says teams think they'll need to get above them at #9 to get to Austin. (4:38pm ET)

Mike Garafolo could see Jacksonville moving back a few slots to get WVU QB Geno Smith, Syracuse QB Ryan Nassib and SMU DE Margus Hunt going late in the first round, and LSU CB Tyrann Mathieu going in the third round. (9:26am ET)

Meanwhile, Mike Florio is hearing the Jags think they can take either Nassib or USC's Matt Barkley atop the second round at #33. (11:55am ET)

General Speculation

Albert Breer says the Bills, Raiders, Browns, Cardinals, LOLJets, and Dolphins have all considered trading down this week.

Jason La Canfora says each team currently in the top seven would love to move down, he expects Smith, Nassib, and Barkley to all go in the first round, and he thinks the Falcons want to move up into the teens for a cornerback. (4:25pm ET)

John Clayton thinks there could be three offensive tackles taken among the first four picks tonight, he thinks guards are finally getting their due, and he says running backs Chris Ivory and LeGarrette Blount are still available in exchange for draft picks. (9:13am ET)
