Chargers mauled in Miami, passed in AFCW by Chiefs

Kansas City (5-3) leapfrogged over San Diego (5-4) into second place in the AFCW by winning their third straight game.

The Chiefs easily handled the visiting Jets 24-10, handing the LOL worthy team their eighth consecutive loss.

Alex Smith threw two touchdown passes, while Jamaal Charles added another on the ground.

Justin Houston added another pair of sacks, giving him five in two games and a league-leading 12 on the season.

KC will travel to Buffalo next week to face the Bills, who are currently on a bye.

Meanwhile, San Diego heads into their bye having lost three straight, none worse than Sunday's 37-0 whitewashing in Miami.

Ryan Tannehill tossed three touchdown passes, while Philip Rivers was picked off three times and also lost a fumble.

The injury ravaged Chargers managed just 10 first downs and 178 yards of offense, while Miami piled up 28 and 441, respectively. The Dolphins also dominated the time of possession, 36:07 to 23:53.
