Enjoy the games everyone, and Go Packers!
What we’re witessing are teams built on defense kicking tail of everything put in front of them. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a pass game or a run game. A team coached on the personnel it has can beat the crap out of teams coached on the idealistic theory of what should win.
It’s simple: coach to the personnel that a team has. It works in business, it works everywhere.
All 4 starting QBs hurt in these games…ouch!
HA! Loved watching not only the Bears lose, but Quitler pack it in and mope on the sidelines. Thankfully the Cutler love fest from the Denver Post dullards will now cease.

Much better stated, French. That was funny.
On that last CBS cut over to the Jet’s QB, did I just see him pick his nose and then wipe the booger on the jacket of the guy standing next to him? That’s dirty, Sanchez.
Hi-larious. Sanchez puts “inner nose material” on the trainer (or whovever). Sanchez is obviously not scared of the stage.
Drew, the only way this gets better is if these rumored photos of Cutler out on Rush Street last night surface.
Please, Gods, Please.
I thought for a minute there that Wink was calling the 3 man rushes with the game on the line. Good to see them snap out of it and get a pick.
Hallelujah, TJ. I don’t know how this could have gone better on the karma front. An unispired JC effort, followed by a questionable exit from the game, followed by a Bears offense playing with energy and some success in his absence.
While I suspect that Chicago will put a big old spin on Cutler’s exit (we took his helmet, maybe), football fans and the media aren’t known for their fairness….
Thank you Football Gods!!!
Hanie did himself proud.
Jay Quitler is not a Super Bowl QB.
and karma finally speaks
Well, Bears fans can start focusing their frustration on Cutler.
His “surgery” will be scheduled soon. Expect MRIs aplenty.
Exactly! McDummie is a McIdiot! I’m also angry that he didn’t draft Kellen Winslow, Sr. in 1980.
Passing on Suh was an even bigger mistake then!!
Throw a screen pass GB!
This is crazy.
Whatever, Steve. Any player who’s good on any other team was by definition passed on by McDaniels. He should have traded Slowshon and NotAPlAyers for the Raji pick. Obviously.
You need to step back and look at the big picture. McDaniels could have traded the whole draft and part of the next for Tyson Jackson and BJ Raji, and he didn’t. The Broncos were bad this year without doing that, so obviously those trades would have made them better. Sugarcoat it all you want, but those are the facts.
Should I stay in character some more, and pretend that your cold application of basic facts confuses me? I am, after all, a Broncos fan.
Xriss Xross? really? I thought Chi was hip.
meant to say didnt pass on Raji
McD did pass on Raji he was picked by the Packers before the Broncos pick
Interesting analysis of whether GB should ahve gone for it there.
Chicago with 3rd string QB?Momentum shift if they get stopped? They likely would have made it, but still.
It looks like it didnt matter with the pick 6.
Go big fella. Thought he was going to do a Leon Lett there!!
And the dagger!
I am so mad at McStoopid for passing on Raji in the draft!
GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don’t want to be greedy, TJ. Short of five ints, I’m not sure the Football Gods could have delivered more than JC pulling himself after a vaguely remembered injury, only to see the offense come alive in the hands of his back up’s back up. A Chicago victory at this point would be an emphatic slap to Cutler’s reputation and image.
Packers should have went for the throat when they had the chance! Safe is standing on the sidelines on the Bears side
3rd string touchdown. Really? Come on Capers. Don’t let this one slip away…
So what do you think the editorial meeting at the Post looks like right now?
OK, guys. If the Bears win, we say that Cutler’s team made the Super Bowl and talk up the catch by Johnny Knox. He’s now one of McDaniels’ mistakes.
If the Packers win, well, obviously the Bears didn’t have a chance without Cutler. Q.E.D.
If we sign Trgovac as DC, can he bring Jenkins and Raji?
HA. Are the Bears going to just completely destruct on defense AND offense?
Packers need a screen play
No doubt, TJ. Brian Griese threw a game winner against the Raiders with a separated throwing shoulder…one that he played with for 3 quarters. And he got run out of town by the same fans that pine for Jay Cutler.
Drew,
Another prayer, please?
I love the video of Cutler on the stationary bike…Jay, as far as I know (and I have done extensive research on this subject), you can’t “bike” off a hangover…I do rec. McDonald’s breakfast and coffee though…
that doesn’t take much cowboy
If the Packers don’t come out and play aggressive….they might have just handed this game to the Bears
I had dinner with some Bears fans last week. I think I heard the word Franchise 2,128 times. They were so pleased with his offensive production, not really considering that he just wooped the first ever 7-9 playoff team. God forbid some sort of heroic collapse, I can start cooking up a spicy dish of Crow for those folks.
“If you score four touchdowns, and Tim Tebow scores four touchdowns, Tim Tebow has more touchdowns than you.”
Chibronx is a soothsayer.
Haine is playing with more heart then Cutler
Bears fans loving them some Hanie, I hope…
Drew, Tebow wouldn’t come out. In fact, even in a high school game he played with a broken leg.
At Florida, he played through and with everything.
If Hanie leads them back, who will the fans want to play in the SB?
Bears FO might make medical staff make sure Cutler doesn’t play.
I wonder if Bear Nation forgives Cutler for anything short of a torn ACL? Maybe my desire to see Cutler fail clouds my judgement, but most ‘franchise’ QB’s and leaders wouldn’t leave the field during a conference championship game for any injury that doesn’t involve a cart.
Cutler can’t come back in now.
Chibronx, very true.
New Qb for Chicago!
hahaha, Caleb Hanie coming in the game.
Now the 3rd string QB? GB should be up 24-0.
Hester and the Bears D still would make nervous.
I’m trying to see if I can get a link to the pics.
“taylorcaby Taylor Caby Cutler wasn’t drinking in the pic, was taken around 1030, he might have gone home early. Still pisses me off.4 hours ago »
taylorcaby Taylor Caby Just saw pic of jay cutler out last night. U fkn kidding me??6 hours ago “
So here’s the thing. As much as the Packers have dominated, the Bears are one Hester return away from a game….
Tim Tebow once finished a game with a broken leg.
No news on Chuck Norris.
This tweet cracked me up.RT @SigmundBloom: If I was Jay Cutler, I would get ACL replacement surgery done next week even if I didn’t need it.
OOYE, very funny.
Anyone miss this Jay Cutler yet?
I hear Bears fans are trying to modify the word ‘Franchise’ on Wikipedia right now.
I’m surprised Jay isn’t wrapped up in a Snuggy on the bench…
chantech, if that is true, that would be awesome. I can’t wait for Jay to wear out his welcome in Chicago in the next 2 years.
@chantechGot any links?
Chantech—link?
Jayrockstone,
Apparently there were pictures surfacing earlier today of Cutler out partying last night.
If McD’s legacy is simply getting rid of Cutler and drafting Tebow, I’d rate it a success. Sorry McD haters…
Not only does Cutler not have any heart, you’d have a hard time convincing me that he has any liver, kidney, or spleen, either.
If Urlacher had any more than a fraction of a sac, he’d have run through Rodgers’ arm tackle. On the other hand, Rodgers has proven his huevos many times over.
There is no need for a jury. The evidence is obvious!
Yep, way to man up, in the biggest game of your life, Jay.
So Rodgers is just murdering them in the seams. How long til’ he moves on to Cover-2 sweet spot #2, the 18-yard out?
Urlacher should have pitched that ball back when he started stumbling.
My apologies to Bert Jones…he was at least on the field.
Phil Rivers plays without his tendon. It does look questionable in the biggest game of your career.
Don’t want to say he’s not hurt. He might just be. However, you can bet the media is going to crucify him for coming out on that first drive and looking fine (with bad mechanics as usual), but then not coming back.
31.8 QB rating. What a talent.
The Chicago fans will tear Cutler a new one.
Wow. The EPV swing on that Urlacher INT had to be huge.
The more I think about it, I really like Lovie Smith’s vision for this team. You’re Urlacher, Hester, and some inconsistent but occasionally devastating D-linemen. And the way the team is built, totally maximizes their contributions.
Haha. Todd Collins. Cutler is quite the gritty performer.
Interesting point, Drew. Will be interesting to see if Cutler comes back in if they get back into within 7.
Cutler asking out of this game would be very much like Roger Clemens leaving Game 6 of the 1986 World Series with a blister…
Cutler may be pulling a Burt Jones….
Anybody else remember when an outraged member of the Steel Curtain defense pointed out that Jones would hold his arm in agony after every incompletion, yet appear to be totally pain free when a ball was caught?
Looks like JC is out with a bum knee and a bloody elbow.
Won’t matter. Bears are done.
Oh, Lovie, Rodgers is eating up your cover 2 right up the seam, bro.
Does Aaron Rodgers only do 20+ yard completions? Sure seems like it….
Eric Decker = Jordy Nelson
Amen.
Very poor footwork by Cutler. He’s not setting his feet and his passes are going all over the place.
Oh, pleeeezzzzzzzzzz oh pleeeeeeeeeeeez ye sacred football God’s, don’t let Chicago’s first half struggles be yet another mean spirited taunt. We, the Denver faithful, have suffered enough!!! You have exacted your revenge for whatever slight has angered you—even the grievous Brett Kern event—and a Cutler rally would shatter already broken spirits to dust. Please, we beg of you, be as benevolent and merciful as we know you can be.
In the name of the holy pigskin, Amen.
Chan, another great point. You are the man today. I see the Raiders play with 4 and 5 safties sometimes for this very purpose.
I think if you have the personnel for it, it’s an excellent strategy.
Okay, that’s the one time I praise the Raiders this year.
Green Bay is doing something that I wonder why more teams don’t do more of. They started off playing a lot of coverage and playing with a lot of DBs. Towards the end of the 2nd quarter, especially in obvious passing situations, they started bringing a lot of blitzes. For some reason, in this game, it was very noticeable to me.
The reason why I think this is effective is the QB gets used to having a certain amount of time in the pocket since you’re playing mostly coverage. When you switch to blitzing, his internal clock is thrown off and he starts holding the ball a little too long. Then, in the 2nd half, you start switching between coverage and blitzes and hope to catch him 1. holding the ball too long, resulting in a sack or fumble or 2. making quick decisions, resulting in picks.
And if Ben Rapeistburger makes it to the Super Bowl…. I will be very unhappy
Dude, you sure that isn’t is IQ?
JC’s QB rating right now is 34.
No, really. It’s 34.
Jeff George is doing his thang.
CHANTECH = TRUTH
Underdog, you can still bet on the Packers at sites that offer in game odds.
I am regretting not placing that bet on the Packers. But I figured I was rooting for them so it would jinx it if I bet on them and then they’d lose. (Don’t mind illogical me.)
Anyway, as Nelson from the Simpsons would say, “HAH. HAH.” {points at Cutler}
Radio of the game on 104.3 is just slightly behind the TV coverage, much better than listening to lame Buck and Aikman.
For those counting, that’s 1 INT, another ball thrown up that might have been an INT if Olsen doesn’t make a great play on it, and a fumble. Same Cutler.
Haha, even when they give the Bears the flukiest INT I’ve ever seen, Cutler gives it right back. HA!!!!!
There you go Dude
haha, Ralph, Buck may have about 1/4 the talent his father did. Hey, do you suppose he worked his way up?
So….if the Pack scores here can I go back and safely play Mass Effect 2?
On the Joe Buck stat; why would it matter what a Bears team 10, 20, or 50 years ago did? NFL teams (and their opponents) are drastically different from one year to the next. Thanks Joe Buck for continuing to dumb down the game. ps, Tim Tebow sighting! Excited or next year!
Great observation, Alex.
Desmond Bishop seems like the kind of guy the Broncos are missing defensively. That dude is always around the ball.
Why wasn’t that offensive pass interference on the GB LB?
Good way to play to the strengths of the Bears Defense Green Bay…....
What is the logic of that kind of play, with everyone on the Defense all lined up on the line of scrimmage to just run right at it….seems like macho bull s%&* to me
