Did you just spend the past two hours patiently waiting for the Broncos to pick at #131?
If so, the response from John Elway & Co. is something like, Hey, what's another hour?
Denver has traded out of the fourth round entirely, sending #131 to Chicago.
In return, the Broncos added Chicago's 2014 fifth-rounder (#156) and 2015 fifth-rounder.
The deal leaves Denver with only six picks in this year's draft (three of them already spent), and restores them to seven picks in 2015.
The Broncos had sent their 2015 fourth-rounder to San Francisco in the move up for Cody Latimer.
If the team's calculations are correct, and they receive four compensatory picks next year, then they will have 11 total picks with which to work.
A few players whom Denver had been linked to prior to the draft have come off the board today - Duke safety Russ Cockrell and Wyoming safety Marqueston Huff - each of whom they'd met with at the combine, and Alabama wideout Kevin Norwood, in whom Jeff Legwold said Denver was interested.
