Broncos sign three, waive three

The Broncos made a sextet of roster transactions on Monday, following the weekend's rookie minicamp.

Denver added safety Charles Mitchell (who'd been waived last Monday), former CSU-Pueblo linebacker Chase Vaughn, and wideout Greg Hardin.

Hardin was announced as an undrafted signee shortly after the draft, but skipped the minicamp to attend his graduation from North Dakota.

Vaughn has played in four different pro leagues, but this is his first crack at the NFL.

Mitchell and Vaughn were invited to the rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.

In order to make room for the three, Denver waived DT Mister Cobble and P Steven Clark, and waived/injured DE John Youboty (who'd suffered an Achilles injury over the weekend).

Denver's roster is again at the 90-man limit, but without its coolest name, and devoid of any competition for its overpaid kicking specialists.
