With the seventh-round pick they acquired from San Francisco in the trade up for Cody Latimer, the Broncos drafted Oklahoma linebacker Corey Nelson.
The 6-0, 231-pounder played in 45 games (27 starts) before a partially torn pectoral muscle cut short his senior season last October.
Nelson totaled 154 tackles (17.5 for loss), 7.5 sacks, one interception (for a touchdown), and 10 passes defensed in his Sooners career.
The Dallas native was fully cleared in March, just in time for Oklahoma's pro day, when he posted a 4.64-second forty time.
He added 23 bench reps, a 33-inch vertical jump, 117-inch broad jump, 4.43-second 20-yard shuttle, 7.40-second three-cone drill, and 11.54-second 60-yard shuttle.
