The Vikings announced their hiring of Bengals DC Mike Zimmer as their new head coach on Wednesday.
With Zimmer's departure, it's said that Cincy will promote LB coach Paul Guenther to take over their defense.
The Broncos made a handful of roster moves on Tuesday, including ending the seasons of Derek Wolfe and Chris Harris by placing them on IR.
Harris suffered a torn ACL on Sunday, while Wolfe has missed Denver's past six games after having suffered seizure-like symptoms on the team bus.
Denver's divisional round win over San Diego came with a heavy price, as corner Chris Harris suffered a torn left ACL.
Harris left in the third quarter with knee and ankle injuries, and was replaced in incompetent fashion by Quentin Jammer, who allowed three receptions in five targets for 95 yards and a touchdown, according to PFF.
An MRI on Monday morning confirmed the injury to the stalwart third-year corner.
Derek Wolfe has officially been ruled out for Sunday's game, while the nine other Broncos listed on the injury report this week are probable.
The Chargers' injury situation is quite a bit murkier, although center Nick Hardwick did return to practice Friday after having been cleared from the concussion he suffered on Sunday.
For the first time since he became eligible, John Lynch is one of 17 finalists for the Hall of Fame. Among the other 16 finalists? A punter and a kicker.
The voters have deemed a punter and a kicker more worthy than Terrell Davis (a league MVP, SB MVP, 2,000-yard rusher, and best player on two SB-winning teams), Karl Mecklenburg, and Steve Atwater.
They're not as bad as the hacktastic baseball voters, but they're not that far behind.
Cincy OC Jay Gruden has reportedly agreed to succeed Mike Shanahan as the head coach in Washington, making him Dan Snyder's sixth coach in 15 years there.
According to Adam Schefter, the Bengals plan to promote QB coach and former Raiders head man Hue Jackson to replace Gruden as OC.
However, Ian Rapoport says Jackson could join Gruden in Washington to coordinate his offense, with current secondary coach Raheem Morris potentially running the defense.
Saturday afternoon brought a late addition to Black Monday, as Tennessee fired head coach Mike Munchak after three seasons.
Munchak had spent 32 consecutive seasons with the organization, starting with a 12-season HOF playing career with the Oilers.
He was then an assistant for Jeff Fisher's nearly 17 years as the Oilers/Titans head coach, before taking over for the fired Fisher at the start of the 2011 season.
Peyton Manning was a unanimous selection to the 2013 All-Pro team, to the surprise of nobody. This is his seventh time being named to the first team.
Louis Vasquez joined him on the first team, which was a first selection for him.
Demaryius Thomas and Matt Prater were named to the second team. Vasquez, Thomas, and Prater are all first-time selections.
During a month in which he broke several NFL and franchise records, Manning threw for 19 touchdowns against three interceptions, with a 116.5 QB rating.
