Foot sprain to cost Ronnie Hillman at least two weeks

According to the DP, Ronnie Hillman will miss at least two weeks with a foot sprain he suffered at Oakland on Sunday.

Denver travels to face the Rams in St. Louis this Sunday, before hosting Miami in Week 12.

The week after that, they'll face the Chiefs on SNF at Arrowhead. The current timeline would have Hillman back for that showdown.

According to the DP, Nate Irving's MRI on Monday showed a sprained MCL that may not end his season.

However, Irving's knee reportedly has significant swelling, and more tests are required.

Per Mike Klis, Denver plans to start either Lamin Barrow or Steven Johnson in his place.

The Broncos expectedly ruled out Omar Bolden (concussion) and Montee Ball (groin) for Thursday's game against San Diego.

Steven Johnson (ankle) is questionable, while five others are listed as probable.

Ball is reportedly progressing, and may practice on a limited basis next week, prior to Denver's game at New England.

Denver's Wednesday injury report is a carbon copy of Tuesday's; Brandon McManus (groin), Steven Johnson (ankle), Omar Bolden (concussion), and Montee Ball (groin) were again held out.

Ball is improving and did some conditioning work, but he'll miss Thursday's game against San Diego; Johnson and Bolden are also expected to sit.

Broncos place Danny Trevathan on short-term IR

The Broncos have placed linebacker Danny Trevathan on short-term IR; he'll be eligible to return for their Week 15 game at San Diego.

Trevathan fractured a bone above his left knee early in Denver's 31-17 win over the Jets.

A fracture below the same knee during training camp had caused him to miss the Broncos' first three games.
